According to Koch president, Bob Frank, Jones stands to gain greater exposure from receiving backing from the two labels.
“Jim Jones is a superstar and this arrangement positions him in such a way as to maximize the strengths of the number on Independent Koch Records and the most storied and historic label in the history of the record business, Columbia Records,” Frank stated.
Jones’ new deal marks a new chapter in his relationship with Koch.
Looking ahead Coumbia Records’ Chairman Steve Barnett is confident about Jones’ potential with his label.
“We are thrilled to join forces with Koch Records on behalf of Jim Jones,” Barnett said in a statement. “We believe in his artistry and are excited about the future.”
