The documentary film “Take Me To the River” on the soul of American music is set to premiere in Memphis and 10 other cities on Friday (Sept. 12, 2014), meanwhile the “Take Me To The River: Music From The Motion Picture” soundtrack released on Tuesday (Sept. 9, 2014).
The “Take Me To the River” film documentary takes an in-depth look into the interracial music influence of Memphis and its generational influence on American Soul Music.
