Have you tested Snapseed which Google acquired along with the development team back in September?

If you don’t know about Snapseed, it is an image tool for desktop and iOS users developed by Nik Software who’s known for making pro photography apps. Snapseed is deemed the Photoshop competitor too.

Just a few days ago, the Android App was released and everyone is questioning rather Instagram should watch out.

BTW: If you’re looking for it on Google Play on your Android phone, you won’t find it. It is available via the web on Google Play but will not install unless you have an Android device that is OS 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or later. You can always opt for the desktop version. :-) And yes, it will work on iOS 4.2 or later.

The question now is, does Google’s photo rival Snapseed have what it takes to take on instagram and Twitter’s newly released photo filters and effects?
