Former WWE Wrestler and Bodybuilder Chyna, Dead At 45

Chyna - Joan Marie Laurer

Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) professional wrestler Chyna, born Joan Marie Laurer, who rose to fame in the World Wrestling Federation in 1997, has been pronounced dead, as of this Thursday. News of Chyna’s untimely death comes at the same time of the untimely announcement of the death of superstar singer and music artist Prince, who was also pronounced dead as of today (Apr 21, 2016).

The 45 year-old Chyna was found dead in her Redondo Beach, California home on yesterday afternoon.

Chyna was discovered unresponsive and her exact time of death is unknown although reports say she may have passed away Sunday or Monday.

On Sunday, Chyna was last seen in a bizarre video on her YouTube channel making a smoothie while wearing smudged makeup and wearing feathers as she walked around her home rambling to fans on camera during the 13 minute video.

The professional wrestler was taking medication for sleep deprivation and anxiety, according to her manager via reports.

Though she was known mostly for performing as the wrestler Chyna during her career with WWE (then known as WWF), Chyna was also an acclaimed bodybuilder and an adult film star.

Her death is reportedly an ongoing investigation which coroners say could take up to several months following an autopsy in the upcoming days.
