Southern Heritage Classic Football Game

Southern Heritage Classic is back for its 2014 weekend of events including tailgate parties and other events wrapping fashion, music, comedy and more all rolled up into one big cultural event which ends of course with the Tennessee State University (TSU) vs Jackson State University (JSU) college football game.

Among the music artists in the city for the Southern Heritage Classic weekend are rapper 2Chainz, R&B legend Charlie Wilson, soul artist Gladys Knight, Joe and R&B group Mint Condition.

Just added to the Southern Heritage Classic roster of events is actor Morris Chestnut.

The Greek Showdown, which is filled with college step shows, the Battle of The Bands and the Southern Heritage Classic Comedy Jam are all going down this weekend.

Friday, September 12

V101’s The Tom Joyner Morning Show 5 a.m., Tiger Lane at the Fairgrounds. Live broadcast of the TJMS with Tom Joyner, Jay Anthony Brown, Sybil Wilkes and Stormy.
