A two year-old boy shot his 4 year-old sister after the toddler found a gun underneath the couch in his mother's home in the Cordova, TN area, authorities say.
Reportedly, the gun was left under the couch without the mother's knowledge by her boyfriend.
Charles Sanders, 25, reportedly admitted to Shelby County Sheriffs Office that he had hidden the gun after bringing it to the house two weeks prior to the shooting.
Sanders admits that he didn't tell his girlfriend about it.
Following the shooting, the gun was found behind the home in a wooded area.
Sanders is now free on a $50,000 bond after being arrested on reckless endangerment and child neglect.
Fortunately, the 4 year-old survived the shooting and is to be recovering.
