A second suspect has been booked and charged with 2nd degree murder in the shooting death of Demekrtic Anderson-Whitfield aka Memphis rapper Meechy Meech.

Jason “Jay” Thomas of New Orleans, has surrendered, according to Nola, after being wanted in connection with the double homicide shooting which occurred on December 30th in Metairie apartment complex in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, a part of New Orleans metro-area.

Demekrtic Anderson-Whitfield aka Meechy Meech along with Tacara Moss-Williams were both shot and killed after setting up a meeting by phone which took place at the apartment complex just a few blocks from the motel in which they were staying in.

Anderson-Whitfield, who was the driver of the black Dodge Charger that they rode in, was involved in some type of argument with one of the men they met, who stood next to Anderson-Whitfield on the driver’s side.

At some point, another man approached the passenger side of the vehicle where Tacara Moss-Williams was believed to be a passenger and began shooting at them as they fled away in the car driving into a fence near the motel.

While Tacara Moss-Williams died in the car, Demekrtic Anderson-Whitfield died at the East Jefferson General Hospital, as reported on MemphisRap.com.

A third victim in the car was left unharmed.

Police are currently seeking a third suspect, Glenn “Ace” Lemon, 30, of New Orleans, who is still at large.
