Eminem SiriusXM Town Hall Interview on Shade 45 with DJ Sway

In a 1-hour interview at SiriusXM Town Hall, Shady Records rapper Eminem somewhat lists his favorite rappers of all-time and gives a response to his controversial “Rap God” lyrics in the rare Q&A session moderated by Shade 45’s Sway in the Morning host ‘DJ Sway’ Calloway.

In Eminem’s interview, the rapper was asked about his “Rap God” lyrics and the process behind writing the song which Eminem claims that he really didn’t have any “deep” story behind writing his rhymes and he simply goes in to do his best anytime he raps.

“I kind of stopped counting bars,” Em says in regards when he was writing his new song “Rap God” which is over six minutes long and comes off Eminem’s eighth studio album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (MMLP2).

Eminem says he just basically freestyled the rap and just kept on rapping until he figured he was done saying what he wanted to say.

When Eminem was asked about his favorite rappers of all time he didn’t really have a list in any order but did name-drop LL Cool J, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane and Beastie Boys.

In his actual “Rap God” lyrics, Eminem has some obvious influence from Rakim, 2Pac and N.W.A.

“I’m a product of Rakim, Lakim Shabazz, 2Pac N–W.A, Cube, Hey Doc, Ren Yella, Eazy”

The hour long interview had been leaked online this week but has since been removed and now only excerpts of the interview are available while the full length one-hour long interview can only be accessed on Sirius XM.
