Sony's new PlayStation 4 (PS4) now has a release date which the video game giant revealed at Sony's Gamescom 2013 event in Cologne, Germany.
Sony announced its release date for the PS4 at a press conference for the huge gaming convention held in Europe on August 20.
PS4 is set to release in North America on November 15 and November 29 in Europe.
According to Sony, the new PS4 video game console will sell for a reported $399. Along with the new PS4 video game console, will come new retail video games including the following:
NBA 2K14 (2K)
Call of Duty: Ghosts (Activision)
Need for Speed: Rivals (Electronic Arts)
NBA Live 14 (Electronic Arts)
Madden 25 (Electronic Arts)
Assassins Creed IV Black Flag (Ubisoft)
FIFA 14 (Electronic Arts)
Killzone: Shadow Fall (Sony)
Just Dance 2014 (Ubisoft)
LEGO Marvel Superheroes (Warner Bros. Interactive)
Skylanders Swap Force (Activision)
Battlefield 4 (Electronic Arts)
Watch Dogs (Ubisoft)
Meanwhile, while Sony (who has reportedly pre-sold more than 1 million of the PS4's already) has set its new release date, the gamer's rival platform Xbox One by Microsoft, which is set to sell for $499, is still rumored to be possibly challenging the PS4 by releasing around the same release date.
