A Germantown, TN woman who is a Memphis City School teacher remains missing. Heather Palumbo-Jones, 33, a kindergarten teacher at Frayser Achievement Elementary School was last seen Monday.
The disappearance of Heather Palumbo-Jones comes shortly after filing for divorce from her estranged husband Chris Jones in January who's attempting to gain custody of their two children. Reportedly, Chris Jones followed suit soon after by filing a divorce of his own in March.
News reports and topics are scattered over the internet asked "was Heather Palumbo-Jones murdered?"
Chris Jones is apparently an alleged person of interest, for the time being, as police continue to investigate Heather Palumbo-Jones' mysterious disappearance.
According to Chris Jones, he had nothing to do with Heather Palumbo-Jones' disappearance and states that their family was happy, up until she decided to suddenly leave.
Despite police not confirming that Chris Jones is a person of interest, a friend of Heather Palumbo-Jones claims that he was the last to speak to her on the phone the night she went missing and Chris Jones was with her at the time.
Heather Palumbo-Jones reportedly had an order of protection against Chris Jones who claims that the incident had to do with an argument over his phone, according to reports. An order of protection was also put in for their children and the Godmother, who is reportedly now taking care of them.
While Palumbo-Jones remains missing, during a divorce hearing, a judge ordered a mental evaluation for Jones and one for his wife upon her return if it happens.
Currently, Germantown Police say they have no new information after searching the husband's residence and the area around it. At this time authorities are encouraging anyone who may have seen her or know anything to contact authorities with any information at 901-757-7338.
