Teen Student Arrested For Saying He Wanted To Shoot Mitt Romney In Ohio

A teen was arrested for asking to leave class to shoot Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney while in Ohio on Monday. Shaquille L. Brown, 19, who attends Lorain County Community College in Greater Cleveland, Ohio was allegedly making a joke, but it brought on more than laughs — it brought on panic.

According to reports, Shaquille L. Brown was heard by the English teacher while doing a group assignment.

The teacher stated Brown burst out with, “Can we leave, because Romney is in town and I want to go shoot him.”

Brown was informed by the teacher that he would have to be reported to the police and campus security was contacted.

Shaquille L. Brown was arrested and taken to Lorain County Jail where he was questioned by Secret Service.

During his arrest, Brown allegedly stated, “I don’t even have a gun to do it.”

Mitt Romney was at a local Ohio high school in Avon Lake about 20 minutes from Elyria, Ohio.

Brown has been charged with one-count of inducing panic.
