Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane sat down with the Durtty Boyz on Hot 107.9 Atlanta and spoke on losing respect for Memphis rapper Yo Gotti, and helping Young Money artist and Jamaica, Queens rapper Nicki Minaj whom he helped early on in her career and Bronx rapper French Montana.
According to Gucci Mane, his issue with Nicki Minaj is that she didn't 'keep it real,' but he does tip his hat off to her for being a hard worker. The rapper had similar words about French Montana, who he also said didn't 'keep it real.'
As for rapper Yo Gotti, Gucci Mane had quite a bit to say about him after his name was brought up from being on one of Gucci's records. In the interview' Gucci Mane stated he was cool with Yo Gotti until he turned into a 'busta.'
Gucci Mane says that his main problem with Yo Gotti is that the rapper was going to drop his CM7: The World Is Yours mixtape the same day as his Trap God on October 17th adding that Yo Gotti was going to try to ride his wave like he was an artist of his and they're getting money together.
"All my label mates dropped their mixtape on 10-17," stated Gucci Mane.
Gucci Mane questioned why would Gotti call himself his partner and try to drop his mixtape on that date and also says Yo Gotti claimed to him that didn't know his mixtape was dropping 10/17.
"Now the whole world know I'm dropping this mixtape. I've been promoting this mixtape," says the 1017 Brick Squad Records founder.
