Memphis High School Student Gets Yummy Fruit Cup With Worm At Cafeteria Lunch

One Memphis High School student got a surprise when they went to lunch at the school’s cafeteria. A Hillcrest High School student, who thought they were going to enjoy a nutritious fruit mix usually made with mandarin orange segments, peaches, pears and sometimes strawberries, cherries, red and green apple pieces in light syrup, got another surprise.

The Hillcrest High School student got a worm in their fruit-cup.

According to WREG 3 CBS Memphis, the Hillcrest Viking who saw the worm in their fruit cup went and told a cafeteria worker, who then went and spoke with administration.

The administration contacted the vending company and have since pulled all fruit cups.

We’re assuming it was a fruit worm. Fruit worms are known for living in the interior of fruit and is common especially in organic fruits — meaning no pesticides.
