Whitney Houston’s Death: Bobby Brown’s Emotional Performance Near Memphis

Bobby Brown performed Saturday night before thousands just hours after learning about his ex-wife Whitney Houston’s death and it was surely one of the most emotional nights during the entire New Edition reunion tour.

Before even taking the stage, sources say the singer reportedly had a breaking down moment just before the show was to begin.

Upon taking the stage at the Landers Center in Southaven, MS near Memphis, Tennessee, Bobby Brown decided to go on with the performance because of loyal New Edition fans spanning over 25 years.

Prior, the singer admitted coming to the stage was hard but shouted emotionally, ‘I love you, Whitney,’ as he blew kisses to her in the air.

Bobby Brown reportedly performed nearly 10 songs before he was too overcome with emotion over his ex’s death.

As the group began to sing a ballad, Bobby was wiping his face of sweat, reportedly mixed with tears and could hardly sing the notes from the cracking of his voice in which he appeared to have become overwhelmed with emotion.

Bobby did however finish the song, waved to his fans and walked off stage.

Whitney Houston, the most awarded female artist of all time, was found dead in her Beverly Hilton hotel in California, as reported on MemphisRap.com.

Houston’s body was discovered by her hairdresser, who along with other entourage, became worried about the singer after she was said to have been in the bathroom for over an hour.

Unsuccessful attempts were made to revive Whitney, who reportedly was found underwater in the bathtub by the singer’s bodyguard and reportedly by arriving paramedics, but it was apparently too late to save her.

Whitney Houston leaves behind a teen daughter Bobbi Kristina, fathered by Bobby Brown.

Bobbi Kristina, who was believed to be staying at the same hotel as her mother, was reportedly rushed to the hospital on today (Feb. 12) and treated for anxiety.

Whitney Houston was set to be at the Grammys tonight but will now reportedly be honored by singers Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Khan.

The Grammy Awards is set to air at 7PM CST on CBS live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
