Zed Zilla Interview: Talks Yo Gotti Collaboration, Hip Hop, Upcoming Releases

In an interview with I&E artist Zed Zilla, the rapper spoke with MemphisRap.com and talked about collaborating with Yo Gotti, preparing for his upcoming projects, and more.

The interview took place at the official private listening party for Yo Gotti’s upcoming mixtape, Cocaine Muzik 6, which was held in a spacious luxurious suite of the Clark Tower in East Memphis.

In the interview, speaking on the Yo Gotti collaboration, Zed Zilla reveals that even though made publicly on CM4 (Cocaine Muzik 4), the two rappers from two different neighborhoods — North Memphis (Yo Gotti) and South Memphis (Zed Zilla) — really have been “rockin together” since CM1 (Cocaine Muzik 1).

Zed Zilla goes on to reveal that he’s currently working with DJ Drama on a Gangsta Grillz mixtape to be entitled “Rich Dude.”

The first single off of the upcoming mixtape could possibly be a song entitled “Fire That B---h” even though Zed Zilla says he’ll let the streets choose from a number of singles which he collaborated on with various artists including Yo Gotti, Pleasure P, 2 Chainz and others.

In the game now 3 years, Zed Zilla says he’s learned a lot on the road with Yo Gotti, and says in this game “what you put in, is what you get out.”

When asked about the state of hip hop in his hometown of Memphis, Zed Zilla says that he believes “it’s an all-time high” and Yo Gotti is “setting the bar.”
