MemphisRapTV recently sat down with Koopsta Knicca, one of the original members of Three 6 Mafia, and held an exclusive interview with the rapper outside of >Hard Rock Cafe on the world famous Beale Street in Downtown, Memphis, TN.

In Koopsta Knicca’s interview with MemphisRap.com, the rapper talks Three 6 Mafia, going to jail, working on his new album ‘Devil’s Playground 2,’ where he’s going with his music career at the moment, plus spits a wicked hot 16 bars or should we say 64 bars, plus more.

“Basically right now, I’m up here supporting my guy Lord Infamous,” Koopsta starts out in his interview, showing love for longtime friend and music counterpart, Lord Infamous, another original and founding member of Three 6 Mafia, who’s now Co-CEO of his own label, Black Rain Entertainment, along with Co-CEO Mario ‘II Tone’ Reddick.

“Ain’t no hatred or nothing for Three 6, them guys.. you know what I saying. Like that sh*t on YouTube, I was sent out, ni**a told me they were talking bad about me.. them guys already know I’m usually jumping off.. but I saw they wouldn’t on that, so I came back and apologized to ’em.. that sh*t on YouTube, just a regular,” Koopsta revealed to MemphisRap.com.

The rapper goes on to plug his work on “Devil’s Playground 2,” a follow-up sequel to his 1999 debut solo album “Da Devil’s Playground: Underground Solo,” which was produced by DJ Paul.

Later touching on the music industry, the rapper states “DVP (Devil’s Playground) part II… I’m doing a lot of sh*t, I just need to stay out of jail. My problem is I show a lot of love to a lot of people, that’s how I got in trouble, you know I’m trying to have a person paralyzed and sh*t, you know, come up on music, cause it’s Memphis sound. Right now, you got Memphis producers down there bringing Atlanta up, you know what I’m saying, stuff like that. But I’ma show ’em we can stay right here and do it. It’s still the same, cause I did it before.”

Then showing his love for his fans, Koopsta adds, “I ain’t just trying to please nobody cause I don’t trap, but I’m a lyricist, know what I’m saying, and I’ma please my fans. I want to get pass it, but all my fans want Devil’s Playground, so I’ma give ’em Devil’s Playground 2.”

Koopsta Knicca later goes into a wicked flow and starts rapping, showing what he’s most known for — his melodic ‘fast-rapping’ Memphis buck-style.
