Rap artist Kinfolk Kia Shine, founder of independent record company, KMG Entertainment, has just been confirmed as added to the K-97 Summer Jam / 8th Annual “Can Live Celebrity Weekend.”

..we just received the word from my boy Curtis Givens. I have been blessed to do the Summer Jam every year since 2006. I think the first show I ever did in Memphis was at the Mud Island Amphitheatre back in 1998. So it is really cool to be able to go back 11 years later. It is an even bigger blessing that my young group the P.R.E.P.S. (Paid Representatives of East Memphis Promoting Swag) will be there. They will get to rock it. I am really excited about that now. It makes it all new for me again. ~ Tri-State Defender

Along with Kia Shine, the event also features Atlantic recording artist Trey Songz (“I Need a Girl”), Texas rap group GS Boyz (“Stanky Leg,” “Booty Dew”), Atlantic recording artist Pleasure P (Boyfriend #2″) formally of Pretty Ricky, K97’s ‘Next Big Thing‘ winner Gyft (“They Just Don’t Know“), 8Ball, MJG and others.

The K-97 Summer Jam 2009 goes down on Saturday, July 25th at Mud Island Amphitheater in Downtown Memphis, TN.

In related news, Kia Shine is set to launch a new site for his independent record company, KMG (Kinfolk Music Group) Entertainment, at www.KMGmusic.com in August.
