Ludacris Foundation Raises Money For Youth and HIV/AIDS Research


Ludacris has raised money with the support of celebrities ranging from Fergie, India Arie, Jazze Pha, & others in ATL for the youth and to help fund HIV/AIDS research.

The charity event on April 24, for the Ludacris Foundation in Atlanta, GA raised thousands of dollars which will be used to help fund and support organizations that work to help youth to become inspired and build stronger communities.

The event “Benefit for the Ludacris Foundation at Ralph Lauren,” which was a private affair, brought out a number of celebrities ranging from Fergie, India Arie, Jazze Pha, amongst others at Atlanta’s Lenox Square Mall.

The event which was hosted by Ludacris, singer Ciara and Disturbing Tha Peace Records CEO Chaka Zulu turned out better than expected according to Zulu. Reportedly Fergie was the life of the party, who posed endlessly with other celebrities as they got their shopping and mingle on. Those who bought items during the event, 15% percent of all items sold went to the foundation.

During the event, Ludacris announced that this was the largest turnout in the event’s three-years. Last year the event reportedly raised more than $200,000 for the organization.

One day prior, Ludacris raised money for aids at the grand opening of his new restaurant Straits Atlanta. The private dinner offered high-priced dining at $100 per plate to help fund HIV/AIDS research.

In other news, Ludacris is preparing for the release of his upcoming album “Theater of the Mind,” which is expected to release in August.
