Female rapper Foxy Brown born Inga Marchand, 29-year-old was released from a New York prison Friday afternoon after serving eight months on a number of probation violations. The rapper served her time at Rikers Island Correctional Facility.

Foxy Brown was placed on probation for an altercation over the payment of a manicure at a New York nail salon in 2004 which she violated twice. The rapper was arrested for throwing her cell phone at a neighbor and getting into a fight with an employee at a beauty supply store.

“I feel good,” Foxy Brown stated. “I’m back home.”

“I cried coming out. I didn’t cry coming in. There’s a big difference. I believe that God put me there for a reason, incarceration is serious. He (God) got me through,” she told Access Hollywood.

Present during her exit was her mother Judith Marchand, New York City councilman Charles Barron and a hair and makeup artist. The rapper left riding in a Rolls-Royce Phantom with security and the paparazzi trailing her.
