Memphis Tigers blazing point guard and freshman Derrick Rose #23 is leaving the University of Memphis for the NBA after one year.
Rose helped lead the Memphis Tigers to the NCAA Championship Finals and was second in scoring this past season. The basketball player has been projected by numerous scouting services including NBADraft.net as the number one pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
Inaddition, the Memphis Tigers may start getting worried as they may also lose a second team player, shooting guard Chris Douglas-Roberts #14, who was the leading scorer on the team. Reportedly he is thinking of leaving and missing out on his senior year to move on to the NBA. He is expected to make his decision within in the next two weeks. Chris Douglas-Roberts is stated to be a middle-to-late first round pick.
