Cash Money/Universal Motown Records multi-platinum artist Lil Wayne's album cover for Tha Carter III has reportedly hit the internet and is currently being displayed on Amazon. The suspected official cover features Lil Wayne as "Baby Wayne" all tatted up wearing a pinky ring.
The first official single "Lollipop" featuring Static Major off the highly anticipated album made its debut and was released digitally on March 13, 2008 with the video premiering one day prior on BET's Access Granted on March 12, 2008. On March 17, 2008 the video was featured on MTV's TRL. Since the release of the single "Lollipop," it has made it to the #1 song on iTunes Hip-Hop Chart and #4 overall.
In an interview with Billboard in February, Lil Wayne stated that Hurricane Chris, Corey Gunz, Tyga, Jibbs, Shanell, Kidd Kidd, Mack Maine and Lil Mama all recorded features for the album. The rapper also told BBC that Kanye West will be joining him and will appear on three tracks and that Swizz Beatz, Jim Jonson and Deezle also appear.
Producers expected for the album include Cool & Dre, Diesel, Just Blaze, Kanye West, Mannie Fresh, Scott Storch, Timbaland, will.i.am, amongst others.
The album "Tha Carter III" is set to release May 13, 2008.
According to additional reports, Lil Wayne is stated to be appearing on BET's annual Spring Bling and will be only the 2nd artist in the event's history to perform for an entire episode.
