According to a recent interview with 50 Cent on the morning show with radio personality Miss Jones, Young Buck born David Darnell Brown is officially no longer part of the rap group G-Unit.

50 Cent told Miss Jones on the Hot 97 Morning Show in New York and co-host DJ Envy, “You can look at that and see that’s game all the way. I was giving him a chance, giving him the benefit of the doubt then. You can take this as an official notice right here cause we on the hottest show in the world right now. Pretty much you can say, Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed to G-Unit as a solo artist.”

According to an recent interview, Young Buck is stated to have said in the interview that he had not collected any royalty while under the label G-Unit.

Quote from the interview:

A lot of artists don’t recoup off of albums, so a lot of times they never get to see the backend from that project. I’m the only artist on G-Unit that ever recouped off of an album. Meaning I went off on this “Buck The World” project not owing Interscope and G-Unit sh*t, I can say that much.

I’m still waiting on a royalty check period. I never seen a royalty check since I’ve been signed with G-Unit … I’ve never in my career cashed a royalty check, how you like that? Put that one in big black letters n*gga!

His manager Sha Money XL later came to clear up the interview taken with the hip-hop site YoRaps by saying Young Buck was happily with G-Unit and had collected royalties.
