As previously reported on today (Mar. 10) that The Game born Jayceon Terrell Taylor, 28, was stated to have been released from jail according to sources, however it turns out the rapper may still be incarcerated. According to MTV News they received an email from The Game's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, stating that the rapper was released due to overcrowding at the prison just before midnight on Sunday. However, SOHH reported later that The Game's manager and Czar Entertainment CEO, Jimmy Henchman, called to clear up the reports by stating that they had anticipated that The Game would be released on or before April 2nd. The manager goes on to talk about how they were expecting an early release like Paris Hilton in which she was sentenced to do time in a correctional facility for 90 days, but ended up doing only a week.
The Game was stated to have been moved from The Twin Towers facility to another one, AllHipHop reported, due to his gang related background.
The Game was facing up to five years in prison if he was convicted of all his original three charges that were placed against the rapper for making a criminal threat, possession of a firearm in a school zone and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer but due to the rapper's plea deal, the other two charges were dropped and the rapper was only charged with a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone.
After a 60-day sentence, the rapper is looking to be released by April.
