Lil Wayne Endorses ‘Strapped 4 Life’, Producer Static Major Dies


Lil Wayne endorsed ‘Strapped Condoms’ which is based in Houston, TX and created by Rap-A-Lot Records CEO James Prince

Lil Wayne born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. has had a number of things going on in his career the past few months from getting arrested, having alleged music leaked and more. Recently, the rapper endorsed “Strapped Condoms” which is based in Houston, TX and created by Rap-A-Lot Records CEO James Prince which also have branches in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. The company is aiming at educating youth at recognizing lifestyles that contribute to the spread of STD’s and HIV through its partnership with organizations like Saving Our Community Kids ands Seniors (S.O.C.K.S) and under its campaign titled “Strapped 4 Life”.

The Strapped 4 Life campaign will be sending out various ads/ PSA’s featuring Lil’ Wayne promoting and trying to get messages out to those between the ages of 18 to 24. Other endorsements include celebrities from Jamie Foxx to Roy Jones Jr. and Bernard Hopkins.

Blacks account for only 13% of the US population according to the CDC which account for about 50% of the people who get HIV and AIDS. HIV/AIDS is noted as a leading cause of death in the black population.

In other news, on Febuary 25, 2008, producer Static Major, 33, who is known for producing hits and working with Lil Wayne along with a number of other artists such as Aliyah, Timbaland, P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Pretty Ricky, David Banner, Ginuwine, Christina Aguillera and others, died from unknown causes.
