T.I Wins American Music Award

TIP still was able to win two American Music Awards in the Rap/Hip-Hop category.

TIP still was able to win two American Music Awards in the Rap/Hip-Hop category Monday night despite his house arrest. T.I wasn’t able to go to the American Music Awards ceremony at LA’s Nokia Theater, but that didn’t stop his presence from being felt throughout the night by snagging two awards. T.I won “Best Male Hip-Hop Artist” and “Best Hip-Hop Album” for his “T.I vs T.I.P.” album.

It’s clear to see T.I. has talent and is right at his peak, and this is why it’s a shame to see an artist such as T.I. in such a serious situation, however winning awards can help him get through rough times.

This was the 35th year of the American Music Awards, honoring musicians in a number of genres. American Music Awards are the first in Awards’ history to allow viewers to vote for winners in each category via and online.
