Da Brat To Face Legal Action Over Club Fiasco


Shawntae Harris known as Da Brat is accused of hitting waitress Shala Stevens, who is also an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader and aspiring actress, over the head with a bottle of rum after an argument.

Rapper Shawntae Harris, better known as Da Brat, will face legal action regarding her Nov. 1 alleged altercation in a Georgia nightclub owned by Jermaine Dupri.

Harris is accused of hitting waitress Shala Stevens, who is also an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader and aspiring actress, over the head with a bottle of rum after an argument. Stevens has since hired the legal representation of famed attorney Willie Gary. Gary argues that his client suffered significant injuries and distress, and that her career as a dancer, actress, and entrepreneur has been affected due to the incident.

Stevens’ attorneys also claim that the club’s manager, owners, and security are at fault for failing to remove Harris from the property before the attack and not getting Stevens proper medical attention after she was struck in the head.
