"They say there's a fine line between brilliance and insanity. It was very unfortunate and very inappropriate. But I don't want to divert attention from the positiveness of the BET Awards. That's what is more important." He also stated that his actions where "un-royal" and that wasn't how he should have acted.
While T.I. apologized, Ludacris accepted his award for "Best Collaboration" award for "Runaway Love," featuring Mary J. Blige. Ludacris stated in his speech, "This was much more than a song, this was a movement. People say there's no content in hip hop. This song is proof that there's content in hip-hop," he added.
Diddy, Keyshia Cole, and Lil Kim performed the song
