Rapper The Game Rejects Prosecutors Guilty Plea

The Game “Jayceon Taylor,” rejected a plea deal offered to him in court on Wednesday for charges pending against him for impersonating a police officer on last year.

The Game “Jayceon Taylor,” rejected a plea deal offered to him in court on Wednesday for charges pending against him for impersonating a police officer on last year. The rapper reportedly impersonated an undercover officer after leaving the set of “Late Show with David Letterman,” in which he allegedly told a cab driver to run through a series of red lights.

According his Attorney, Jefferey Lichtman, the rapper turned down a Manhattan prosecutor for the guilty plea for a sentence of time already served. The plea would have ended the case against the rapper.

Outside court, Lichtman questioned why should his client plead guilty to bogus charges for a non-jail sentence if he’s innocent.

“And he is innocent. It’s rare that I have a 100 percent innocent defendant, but this is one,” stated Lichtman.

His attorney called the charges harassment.

“This case will end in a dismissal or an acquittal.”

The Game’s next court date is set for September 20, 2007.

In other news, the rapper will be on tour in Europe over the next two months according to Lichtman.
