Asylum/Atlantic Forms Deal With Gucci Mane; Launches Label ”So Icey”

According RapNewswire, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane "Radric Davis" has joined with Asylum/Atlantic Records to form his new label "So Icey" and a production company Czar Entertainment.

According RapNewswire, Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane "Radric Davis" has joined with Asylum/Atlantic Records to form his new label "So Icey" and a production company Czar Entertainment. His third album and first with the label is expected to be released this Summer, and will include features such as Pimp C, Rich Boy and Silk. Production on the album will include tracks from Zaytoven, Nitty, Shorty Red, and others.

"It was a great coup for us to land Gucci Mane," said Todd Moscowitz, President of Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group (ILG). "He's one of the most charismatic and acclaimed rappers on the street, with an extraordinary life story and the authenticity and talent to back it up."

In related news, Gucci Mane will be a part of the '5 Year Anniversary Concert' for Crunkfest 2007, which is set to place on July 21, 2007 at the FedEx Forum in downtown Memphis, TN.
