Paris Hilton’s Jail Sentence Reduced to 23 Days For ‘Good Behavior’

In February, the multi-millionaire celebrity and heiress to the Hilton hotel empire was pulled over for driving without headlights and was found to be driving on a suspended license.

Hotel Heiress, TV Personality and Celebrity Icon Paris Hilton will only have to serve 23 days of a 45-day jail sentence for a driving offense and will be held separately from other inmates, Los Angeles justice authorities said Thursday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has decided it will reduce the 26-year-old’s sentence after reviewing the case and giving her credit for good behavior.

“I want to emphasize that her sentence has not been cut,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told Press.

In February, the multi-millionaire celebrity and heiress to the Hilton hotel empire was pulled over for driving without headlights and was found to be driving on a suspended license.

Hilton was shocked and tearful earlier this month after being slapped with the 45-day jail sentence for violating her probation when she was caught yet again driving despite having her license suspended.

Hilton must begin her prison sentence by June 5.

Since the jail sentence, Hilton has kept a low profile, and has made public statements of her punishment being too harsh and has vowed to appeal, with her backers asking California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her.

As for Hilton’s hit miniseries “The Simple Life: Goes To Camp,” it will begin airing on E! May 28, 2007 which co-stars her buddy Nicole Richie, 25.
