The Queen Gangsta Boo is back and ready to take the throne of not Queen of Memphis but the Queen of the South with the premiere of her new single "Queen of Da South," which is premiering on MemphisRap.com!

Debuting with her first solo, "Enquiring Minds," in 1998 and first known as the 1st Lady of Prophet Entertainment/Three 6 Mafia on Three 6 Mafia's album CD "Mystic Stylez" back in 1994/1995, Gangsta Boo set trends and standards that most female rappers today live by with her unique style and gangsta demeanor un-compared to any other female rapper.

When asked about the "Queen of the South," Gangsta Boo told MemphisRap.com "You know, I'm so humble and I can get arrogant if I want to be but for the most part, I am so humble. I guess I was just letting these h**s play with it, I guess. But they were getting beside themselves."

"I was one of the first females out of the South and not to mention setting trends and standards. And just to be on this underground crunk, I've been a big part of this movement since day one. So I felt like why not say something now and it was requested from my fans, they labeled me 'Queen of The South' ya feel me," Boo says.

"Why you b*tches even step in the game/Talking Queen of the South, b*tch, that ain't yo name/It's the G-A-N-G-S-T-A Boo, keep it all the way gangsta/And I will shank yah/Take it to the dirty south/Yall knowing who the Queen of The South/Nan one of these b*tches that's running their mouth/Not knowing what they talking bout," is just a taste of Gangsta Boo's Queen of Da South lyrics.

More About Gangsta Boo

Known for her role as being one of the first original members of the Oscar winning Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia, Gangsta Boo (born Lola Mitchell on August 7), also known as Lady Boo, later left Three 6 Mafia after the release of the album "When the Smoke Clears: Sixty-6, Sixty-1" due to disputes with certain Three 6 members.

Boo released her debut solo album, Enquiring Minds, in 1998 and since then Boo, native of the Memphis neighhborhood known as "Whitehaven" aka "Blackhaven" has made a second home in Atlanta, Georgia, where she released her second album "Both Worlds *69" in 2001 then, later, "Enquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera".

Explaining the reasons for her move, Boo complained that "Memphis is gangsta. You're from the 'hood, and either your momma split or you don't know your daddy. I don't know whether it's our personalities or the way we talk, but Memphians tend to stand out. Boo was also drawn to Atlanta's black middle class, its nightlife and her perception that "everybody's more uplifted and in party mode."

Now Boo has announced her plans for her fourth studio album, Forever Gangsta, and has returned to do what fans have long since claimed is long over due: claim the title as "Queen of the South." Boo's newest and most controversial single, "Queen of Da South," is now available and was first heard in it's world premiere, Jan 2007, on MemphisRap.com.
