According to the Memphis Business Journal, ‘Good Morning America’ is coming to Memphis Sept 15.

According to the Memphis Business Journal, ‘Good Morning America’ is coming to Memphis Sept 15. They report that Performa Entertainment Real Estate CEO John Elkington stated ABC’s “Good Morning America” will be filming on Beale Street. Reportedly, Good Morning America’s Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts will be broadcasting from the corner of Beale Street and Third with the FedExForum in the background from 6-9 a.m.

Justin Timberlake is going to headline the event as a part of Good Morning America’s summer concert series.

“To be on national television for three hours is a great thing for the city of Memphis,” Elkington said. “It’s going to be exciting.”

Performa, the Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commission, and the Memphis Music Foundation have been working on bringing “Good Morning America” to Beale Street for six weeks.

WPTY Channel 24, the Memphis ABC affiliate, will also unveil its new local morning show on Sept. 15.
