The Memphis Movement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

COME AND WITNESS MEMPHIS HISTORY IN THE MAKING

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - June 17, 2006 - For the first time in Memphis history, the community, businesses, hip-hop recording artists and industry leaders of the city of Memphis are going to come together with one voice to call for a stop to the violence that is plaguing the streets of our city and county. This is significant because the majority of our youth view the hip-hop community as both a source of information and inspiration. With a coordinated effort between the music community and other community leaders and organizations, we can begin to plant the seed of goodwill and community involvement in our city with ONE UNIFIED VOICE!

When: Monday June 19, 2006
Where: National Civil Right Museum @ 450 Mulberry St. Just south of downtown Memphis
Time: 2 PM-5PM
