The song “This Is My Now” was selected to be sung by both finalists because it won “American Idol’s” songwriting competition this year and since then has been titled “This Is My Not Now” by critics.
At the end of the night before the final song was sung the American Idol judges were convinced that the American Idol title could be won by either of the two, but 17 year-old Jordin Sparks changed all that and blew everyone out their seats.
“You were the best singer tonight. You deserve it all, baby!” Randy Jackson stated Tuesday night.
