ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Tarrice L. Love – Native Memphian who found his true calling as soon as he picked up a camera. He has been photographing the south’s most beautiful subjects for more than six years. Before working in photography, Tarrice studied the fashion design at the University of Memphis. He had aspirations of becoming fashion designer. He was inspired by New York City, hip-hop, and the eclectic style of European designers like Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Gianni Versace, and John Paul Gualtier.

Combining those influences with his humbling southern upbringing he has developed a sophisticated sense for style and environment. Those design aspirations changed when he started taking pictures. Tarrice Love is renowned for his elegantly arresting photographs. His work is often described as artistic, sexy, and edgy.

Tarrice Love credits his diverse experiences in life and his southern/urban lifestyle as having an extremely influential impact on his work. Visual art was an escape from the disfunctions of growing up in the nation’s bible belt and all the restrictions and limits that come with it. It heightened his creativity and enhanced his ability to work outside the limits his life provided.
