X-Camp releases new album & helps Hip Hop Summit increase voters

Whitehaven High School graduates and hip hop artists X-Camp recently helped Russell Simmons and Rev. Run, founders of Hip Hop Summit Action Network and Go Vote Community, get more than 30,000 voters registered in Whitehaven and other areas of Memphis, Detroit and New York.

The group recently sold several of its new CD “The Replacements” before its Tuesday release date to sell on the streets to help Whitehaven residents and neighbors.

Upcoming performances include Summer Jam 04, Hot Night Memphis, The Mid-South Fair and autograph signings and in-store appearances this Friday at Pop Tunes on Faronia off Shelby Drive in Whitehaven and Saturday at Tower Records in Peabody Place.
