Promoters of the Crunk Fest dispute the rumors that the Crunk fest was out of control. In an interview with the Commercial Appeal, Tony Jones, publicist for S & S Entertainment, stated “If 250 people were fighting, that would have been a riot and I have seen no evidence to support there was a riot outside of this concert. My question is, if there was a grand melee like the police reported, where was the riot squad and a ton of arrests?”

“Fans can still forward to Crunk Fest 2005, said promoter Jones. “But let me say we regret the young man was injured outside of the coliseum and are concerned.”
