Tennesseans and traveling lottery fans anxiously waiting to play the Tennessee Lottery tried their luck in a RECORD BREAKING way as the first lottery tickets went on sale January 20, 2004. Tennessee Lottery President and CEO Rebecca Paul reported that first-day ticket sales totaled $10.8 million making Tennessee’s startup one of the strongest in U.S. lottery history.
