Q2B aka JOHN PIMP has developed a style of writing and reciting that is very universal. Looking up to what he calls legendary artists like UGK, Master P, Too Short, Ghetto Boys, 8 Ball & MJG, & Tela, gave him the confidence and inspiration to write and perform.

Q2Bs reputation started growing after doing drops for WJMI, a local radio station in Jackson, Ms. Quick 2 Blast started out as a rap group which featured members: JOHN PIMP & DJ MAAD. The group was well known around the state of mississippi and started spreading into other states like La, Al, Tn, TX, Ar,& Ga.

Then in 1998 the group hit a brick wall when DJ MAAD was stabbed to death. This left John Pimp in utter devastation. "Now the group is spit in a way that I never even thought about man, I mean we talked about so much like gettin' money, making investments, signing other artist, but we never talked about dying. I didn't know how to handle this."

Since then John Pimp has taken this change in his life and used it as power and motivation. He has picked up the pieces and decided to carry the burden of the group and make it what it started out to be. Independently, Quick 2 Blast aka John Pimp has dropped his first single in the south region entitled: “RIDIN’ SLOW” and has gained great recognition in just two months via Myspace, Urbanchat, The Mississippi Music Network, & other online music websites.

Quick 2 Blast is on the verge of getting his piece of the rap game, and becoming a household name in the music industry. He's the type of artist that you would never forget once you've met him, hear him, and seen him perform.
