In the 901-949-1468--The Youngmain was born and raised in Binghampton where his mother would reside in Frayser. He attended East High School from 7-12th grade where he was always on suspension for different things. Growing up in Binghampton was a learning experience from walking through Red Oaks apartments with Marijuana tucked in school books to shooting pool at the Barbershop and playing ping pong all day to the nite hour with friends. The Youngmain grew up without any brothers and only one sister so that pushed him to make sure he didn't fall behind the street sense notion of the game which is the reason for becoming a brother of the Almighty Vice-Lord Nation. The Nation practiced the Islamic Faith where he would learn strength and purity fo being a young black man growing up in Memphis. Rap has always been one of Youngmain's influences of how to live a good life and how to survive, staying away from negativity and also trying to teach the youth as he picked up on major points that were made from artists like Eightball/Mjg, Nas, Scarface,Haystak and other lyricists of the game. Youngmain has been writing for 6 years or more but has been working on getting serious with the game for a while besides dealing with everyday struggles.
