To be superior in quality, and aggressively strive towards positive goals that are set is a simple definition that defines Royal Hustlaz. Hailing from the East and South parts of Memphis, TN Da Ladie, (Kimberly Bonner) and Rita Riches, (Sharita Cooks) are bringing back the genuine sound of the female rap and hip hop scene. With their bold, motivational hardcore lyrics coinciding with their jazzy marketable looks and well respected presence, these ladies; as stated by Carlos Broady “are definitely a breath of fresh air to the game.”
Royal Hustlaz are on the move. At this time the Da Ladie is hosting a television show entitled “Street Scenes”. This video show promotes local artist by allowing them to perform in front of a live audience. Royal Hustlaz are truly a force to be reckoned with; from rocking out shows anytime or anywhere, to building their fan base and promoting their movement these ladies want stop. To confirm their grind and position in the industry they have been nominated “ Best Female Artist of the Year” for the Tennessee Music Conference held in Nashville, TN and The 1st Annual Knock Em' Down Awards held in Jackson TN. During the Tennessee Music Conference they won a rap contest over several male performing groups and they also took home the award for “Female Artist of The Year” at The 1st Annual Knock Em’ Down Ent. Awards. Their mixtape Queen Sh*t volume one Banned from the Studio has been currently nominated by the Southern Entertainment Awards for “Best Female Mixtape Artist of the Year”. This mixtape has received a large response from the streets as well building a positive buzz for Royal Hustlaz and their affiliates.
The industry is saturated with artists of all genres, backgrounds and motives to make it. Royal Hustlaz exemplified even as individual artist at their humble beginnings dedication to each other and their vision. They met at an open mic night and at the time both were in different groups that had business differences. Da Ladie as well as Rita Riches were President and CEO of the labels. Business on both parts went sour that’s when Ladie parted ways from her old group. After that Da Ladie went forward with pursuing her career continuing to network and promote with people and called Rita Riches for a feature and they’ve been making it happen every since. Royal Hustlaz will not be refused. They’ve honed their mind and skills to razor sharpness. In their words every move they make is and will be thought out and their statements are absolutely verifiable. Personally breaking into this music game they have a hunger that burns inside their gut like acid for success and making their dreams a reality. This group has different minds but together are here to make one strong forceful voice heard to the world that Hip Hop is not dead; It’s in Memphis! |
