Beale Street MF pulls plug on Three 6 Mafia, fans scream ‘Free Project Pat!’

At the local Memphis In May attraction formally called the Beale Street Music Festival (BSMF), which is one of the biggest expected events of Memphis In May, Memphis’ own Three 6 Mafia, who hit the Autozone Stage around 9 p.m. were greeted by a wild crowd of more than 1,000 Memphis rap music fans.

As fans cheered “Free Project Pat (who is currently serving time in a federal prison on gun charges),” at the top of their lungs, Three 6 Mafia, who had a fairly large number of people on the stage with them, threw T-Shirts to the highly excited bunch…

But the excitement was brought to a sudden halt as the music stopped, lights went out and the smiles turned to frowns. Why you ask? Because of the rain. We know! Rain? Not much of a showstopper yeah especially for such a high profiled event such as the BSMF, who are boasted by media to keep the show going rain, sleet or snow. Although officials said they were worried about the safety of the group and the fans, much can still be said about this unfortunate happening (bad and/or good, mostly bad), we just hope that BSMF will only make a promising effort to prevent such an unfortunate shutdown of performance from happening in future events.

Much luv to Three 6 Mafia, the fans, and the BSMF.
