have to agree wit grits on this one. more than likely it will be a producer that thinks outside the box that is capable to bring shock value lyrics to accompany the production. alot of artist in memphis are to cliche and don't wanna take risk... jus wanna make wat makes a quick check. (not a good idea if u want longevity in the game) thats my view on the subject.

Well......First of all, ANYONE can blow out of Memphis. I am from Cali and have been in the music industry for a long time, but what I see is the missing piece to Memphis is that too many people here have clicks or groups. And the problem with that is that instead of getting together and collaborating they rather air out disses to eachothers click. If you look back at what made Memphis FAMOUS in the first place......back in the day of STACKS, SUN STUDIOS, Ardent and others was that they were a family. Everyone now is so GREEDY to get paid...they will step on someone to do it!!
