Ashley Perry daughter Whitehaven High School bullied

A Memphis mother claims her daughter who attends Whitehaven High School in the South Memphis area was suspended for defending herself from bullies on the school bus.

Ashley Perry says her daughter was attempting to stop bullies from touching her when their bus arrived at school on Thursday, but got expelled for it.

The mother claims that Whitehaven High isn’t doing enough to keep her daughters safe on their school bus.

Perry has two daughters at Whitehaven High who were on the bus; her old daughter, a junior, and her freshman daughter with special needs.

The girls were allegedly called names, threatened and assaulted with backpacks.

Perry got in touch with Whitehaven High School’s principal, who had the girls file a complaint in writing.

Following this, Perry’s daughter was allegedly insulted in an Instagram message online by one of the alleged bullies which included gun icons.

On Thursday, Perry kept the younger daughter home and the older daughter, who was seated in front of the bus, was confronted by the alleged taunting bullies.

One of the bullies allegedly threatened to put their hands on Perry’s daughter and that’s when things escalated leading Perry’s daughter to being suspended for 10 days.

Perry is currently seeking to defend her daughter’s suspension and is planning to move her younger daughter to a special needs bus, while the situation is allegedly under investigation by the Shelby County Schools.
