Video of Teen Boy Beaten Over Honor Roll By Classmates Was Case of Mistaken Identity, Police Say

A video of a teen being brutally beaten allegedly by classmates over him making the honor roll at school is apparently a case of mistaken identity, according to authorities.

The disturbing video taped incident which reportedly occurred against a stone wall along a street in a suburban neighborhood in Northwest Philadelphia shows the teen being violently kicked, punched, stomped and more in the brutal beaten.

teen beat philly honor roll As the teen tries to avoid fighting, he is seen being sucker-punched as he attempts to walk away and is then attacked or assaulted by another teen with an orange traffic cone.

The video has gone viral on Facebook and sparked an immediate outrage by viewers who reportedly reached out to Philly police who then launched an investigation into the incident which so far has led to five arrests including 4 teens and 1 adult.

Apparently, the teen suspects, involved in the video beaten, thought that the victim had participated in an earlier fight which is why they allegedly attacked him.

Reportedly, the boy was asked was he involved in the fight which he answered no, but the teen allegedly was still attacked and beaten.

The suspects have been charged with aggravated assault and robbery along with other charges.
