4 People Shot in Memphis Strip Club ‘Pure Passion’ Shooting, Say Reports

Memphis Pure Passion club

Memphis police say that during the holidays on Friday, multiple people were shot at the Pure Passion strip club in South Memphis, according to sources.

Police were reportedly sent to the scene at the Memphis nightclub which is located on East Brooks Rd in the Whitehaven area when multiple shots rang out allegedly in the parking lot early morning around 4AM.

Reportedly, four people in total were shot including a 24 year-old and three teenagers – one aged 18 and two aged 19.

While the incident was reported to have happened outside of Pure Passion, a promoter for the club name Randy Williams claims the shooting happened next door and not on the property of Pure Passion.

In 2008, Pure Passion was shut down after a four month investigation of drug use and sells at the club.

The club did reopen following the 2008 closing and was last in the news for another shooting that left a 25 year-old man dead and another one in the hospital in 2014, reports WMC-TV.

Anyone with information regarding the recent shooting on Friday is being asked to contact Memphis Crime Stoppers at 901-528-CASH.
