Memphis Nightclub Silver Spoon ‘Under Review’ By District Attorney For Multiple Incidents

Silver Spoon Restaurant Lounge outside

District Attorney General Amy Weirich is currently ‘looking into’ Hickory Hill nightclub Silver Spoon Restaurant & Lounge after a shooting occurred last weekend outside of the Memphis nightclub.

Reportedly at least 27 calls to Memphis Police have involved the Silver Spoon Lounge including last weekend’s shooting which left one bystander, a 24 year-old woman, shot and transported to the hospital.

Apparently a fight broke out in the parking lot at the nightclub leading to two groups of males shooting at each other hitting the woman who was reportedly not even involved in the altercation.

No others were reportedly injured or hit while numerous cars and businesses were hit with gunshots.

Reportedly no arrests were made but the incident, along with the high number of calls to police, have led the District Attorney to reviewing the establishment, which the property is believed to be owned by Memphis promoter Curtis Givens while another source tells WREG that it is owned by JTE LLC with Givens being simply a promoter of the venue.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the club claims that they have doubled security while a resident from the neighborhood told media that she believes the Silver Spoon is a “very good establishment” while adding she thinks “it’s just the crowd and type of people going in.”
