Hip-Hop Endorsed SIZZURP Cough Syrup BANNED After Drug Company Says Culture Abused It

Acatvis ends Promethazine Codeine for making Sizzurp

The drug company that produces and manufactures Actavis, popular for its cough syrup, which contains Promethazine Codeine, has decided to take its product off the market due to the alleged abuse of the drug promoted by pop culture.

Many hip hop artists including Pimp C of UGK, who died reportedly from the drug, have promoted the drug in their rap lyrics and songs.

On that list of artists include Three 6 Mafia, Soulja Boy, Lil Wayne and even part-time rapper, Pop artist Justin Bieber.

Reportedly since the company announced the end of its product, TMZ reports, according to its sources, that rappers and Pop culture artists are scouting the leftovers before it dries up by offering insane amounts including one unnamed rapper offering up to $100,000 to his dealer to get whatever he can.

The drug that went by many names including sizzurp, lean and purple drank for its common purple color would be taken with Promethazine Codeine, Sprite soda and a Jolly Rancher candy, but now without the Promethazine w/ Codeine being so readily available, the drug may have reached its end.
