Rapper Wiz Khalifa is mourning the death of his uncle Imani Porter, after he was shot dead in a tragic shooting in the rapper's hometown of Pittsburgh.
Occurring on Wednesday night, police say 20 year-old Imani Porter was shot in the head in a senseless killing which seems to have been a robbery attempt possibly involving drugs since heroin was found in the victim's car.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of a Steak 'N Shake restaurant in suburban Munhall, Pennsylvania at The Waterfront shopping center.
Porter was rushed to UPMC Mercy Hospital but was later pronounced dead due to the severity of his wound.
A 17 year-old teen by the name of Jaron Young of Penn Hills has surrendered to police and has been charged as an adult with criminal homicide in connection of the shooting of Imani Porter. Jaron Young turned himself in after he was forced by his mother to surrender to police, according to reports.
Detectives believed that Porter planned to sell heroin to Young and another suspect identified as Paul Sanders, 19, in the shooting.
As Porter reportedly handed several bricks of the drug over to Young, that's when police believe Young and suspect Sanders pulled out their guns and Porter was shot in the head.
Police are still seeking the whereabouts of Sanders and anyone with information is asked to contact Allegheny County Homicide Unit at 412-473-1300.
Wiz Khalifia posted the following tweet in regards to the loss of his uncle:
"Rest in peace Imani. Your with Allah now."
Khalifa added later in another tweet that his uncle was younger than him but "more level headed" and he would have never expected this to happen in a million years.
