Missing Memphis Newborn Baby Aniston Walker’s Mother Charged By Police, Is A Suspect
Memphis Police have charged the 33 yr-old mother, Andrea Walker, in connection with the disappearance of her missing 7 week old newborn baby girl Aniston Walker.
Missing 7 week-old Aniston Walker reportedly disappeared from her mother’s home at the 5600 block of Falling Bark Drive in the Bartlett-Raleigh Lagrange area on Thursday around 9AM.
Walker’s mother allegedly contacted a man believed to be the child’s father, who then contacted police about the missing baby Thursday morning.
Shortly after receiving the missing report, police investigators were combing through the neighborhood and knocking on doors of neighboring homes looking for Aniston.
While police are still conducting their search, they have picked up and charged the mother now for two counts of aggravated child abuse and two counts of aggravated child neglect or endangerment.
The allegations derive from the story given by Walker’s mother that she left the 7 week-old at home possibly alone with her 3 year-old child.
The mother of three, who reportedly dropped her third 5 year-old child off at school, says that when she returned home her 7 week old baby was gone. Along with her charges, Andrea Walker is being viewed as a suspect as police say she has been offering conflicting stories specifically on who was watching baby Aniston.
Baby Aniston has brown eyes, medium complexion, is approximately 21″ and 10 lbs and was last seen wearing a brown onesie with football emblems.
In a live press conference, Memphis Police Director Tony Armstrong says, the city alert is still active for baby Aniston and that the mother is going to be further questioned. Anyone with tips about the whereabouts of baby Aniston or has any other information is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 901-528-CASH or the Memphis Missing Persons Bureau or the Memphis Police Department at 901-545-2677.
Andrea Walker is due in court on January 13, 2014.
